Building stronger
communities,
families, and futures.
Communities thrive when families are supported and Black women are valued.
Like many Black women, my life has been shaped by both adversity and possibility. Those experiences taught me something early: systems matter.
The systems we build around families, communities, and culture determine everything that comes after. Everything I do ties back to one mission: helping Black women and families thrive.
Whether I am building a company, speaking on stage, or designing operational systems for entrepreneurs, my work centers on triumph, sustainability, and the belief that our lives can be bigger than the circumstances we were born into.
Today, I bring those perspectives to my work as a speaker, advocate for arts and education, and champion for families and children. Rooted in Baltimore, and reaching far beyond it.

My Story
A life shaped by
resilience
and possibility.
I did not start out trying to build businesses or speak on stages. I started out trying to survive, and then to thrive, in a place that gave me everything.
I grew up in Baltimore, raised by a single father alongside my brother. We shared a bedroom, shared a hustle, and shared the belief that we were going to make something out of what we had. I earned a full scholarship to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and never looked back.
Over the years, I collected titles: researcher, director, strategist, founder, First Lady. I learned something from every one of them. The title that has shaped me most is mother. And the place that has shaped me most is Baltimore. Everything I do flows from those two truths.

Family
Being a mother shapes
everything about how
I lead and why.
My upbringing taught me early that family is an ecosystem. And communities are responsible for whether that ecosystem thrives or struggles.
Every decision about education, culture, and opportunity ultimately affects the next generation. Being a mother shapes my perspective on all of it.
My work centers the belief that when families are supported and invested in, communities flourish. Economically, creatively, culturally, and in terms of the simple dignity of having enough.

Community and Advocacy
Showing up for
Baltimore's children,
families, and futures.
As the First Lady of Baltimore, Hana speaks at schools, visits programs, and shows up for the students, families, women, and artists who deserve to be championed. She believes that when young people are seen, supported, and given something to reach toward, entire communities are lifted.
Hana uses her platform to elevate education, celebrate the arts, empower women, and advocate for the families and children who deserve more attention, more investment, and more belief placed in them.
